Eden Hazard announces retirement. Eden Hazard, the captain of Belgium, made his international football retirement announcement on Wednesday.
This occurs less than a week after Belgium was eliminated from the Qatar-based 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Hazard, who is only 31 years old, announced his retirement from international football after 126 appearances and 33 goals.
Hazard said on his Instagram account, “Thank you for your unmatched support. Thank you for sharing all of this joy with us since 2008.
The Real Madrid player said, “I have made the decision to call it quits on my international career. The successors are prepared. You are missed.
