Newcastle will collect 10 times as much in bonus money from the team as they will from the prize money for winning the trophy.
The club’s owners, though, are keen to honor the team for what would be a historic triumph.
The incentives will be distributed among the players based on a complicated algorithm that takes into account both the number of matches and minutes played during this season’s campaign.
If the manager, Eddiw Howe, is successful in leading the squad to victory, he will also be entitled to a bonus as stated in his contract.
Winners of the Carabao Cup will get £100,000, while losers will receive £50,000.
