Benzema, De Bruyne, Courtois make final shortlist for UEFA Player of the Year. The three-man shortlist for the Player of the Year Award has been announced by UEFA as of Friday.
They are Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City.
With 15 goals, Benzema led all scorers in the Champions League last season, and teammate Courtois set a record with nine saves in the championship game against Liverpool.

Following a vote by coaches and chosen journalists, the final shortlist was created.
Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid, Pep Guardiola of Man City, and Jürgen Klopp of Liverpool have all been nominated for the award for coaches.
The winners will be revealed on August 25 in Istanbul at the Champions League group stage draw.
After helping Chelsea and Italy win European championships the previous year, Jorginho of Chelsea got the honor.
