APC leaders meeting Tinubu fallacious – Osun APC, Chairman, Lawal. The report attributed to the incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, mocking the Osun APC leaders over the results of the elections on February 25, 2023, was shown to be a fiction by the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party claimed that the story was a rumor that originated from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) mill and was a creation of those propagating it in a statement by its chairman in the state, Tajudeen Lawal.

The composition was described as one that was designed to mislead the public in the statement, which was signed by Kola Olabisi, the Osun APC Director of Media and Communication.

The statement said, “The state PDP leadership’s constant fabrication of lies against the APC is a sign that they are ostensibly alarmed and unsettled.

“The President-elect, who is a seasoned politician with integrity, is not always prone to foolishness to the point of smearing his party in the media, as it is customary in the PDP.

The group also issued a warning to individuals spreading lies, urging them to stop using them to forward their defamation campaign against the APC.

Unverified reports circulated on social media on Friday claiming that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, had criticized party officials from Osun State.

According to the statement, the state’s entourage on the visit included Bisi Akande, a former governor of the state and the party’s founding chairman.

The assertion, which was purportedly made by a reliable source who declined to be identified, also claimed that Tinubu told the Osun APC delegation that, regardless of their political allegiances, he had been chosen to lead the nation and urged them to return and start the party from scratch in time for the 2026 gubernatorial election.

According to DAILY POST, the Osun PDP has rejected any attempts by state governor Ademola Adeleke to switch to the APC.

In a statement, the party denied the rumor and called it false and deceptive.

The state APC branch is purportedly responsible for the propagation of the message, according to the Osun PDP.

The party urged the populace to disregard the rumor because it had no foundation.
