Gunmen reportedly carried out a deadly attack at Porsche Nightclub in Oba, Anambra, gunning down several individuals. The incident occurred in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
While the details of the assailants remain unclear, it is reported that the gunmen intended to kidnap the nightclub owner. However, security personnel at the club resisted the abduction, leading to a violent confrontation.
Chukwuemeka Ezefunamba, a source, revealed that the resistance prompted the gunmen to open fire indiscriminately, resulting in multiple casualties. Tragically, one of the security personnel was beheaded during the confrontation.
The Anambra State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, could not confirm the incident at the time of reporting, promising to investigate and provide further details.
This unfortunate event follows a previous attack on another nightclub owner and renowned witch doctor, Akwa Okuko, in the same community. The motive behind the recent attack and the safety of the nightclub owner remain subjects of ongoing investigation.
