No exams on Sallah day – NECO. The Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), which is now taking place and is set to take place on Saturday, July 9, has not been postponed, according to the National Examinations Council (NECO).

In order to provide the Muslim faithful enough time to celebrate the holiday, it was claimed that a full examination-free week, starting on Friday, July 8 and ending on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, had been granted.

No exams on Sallah day – NECO. In a statement made in Minna, NECOs Head of Information and Public Relations Division, Mr. Azeez Sani, refuted rumors that the examination would be held on Sallah Day, July 9, 2022, as some have suggested (Eid-Adha).

“The Council wishes to announce that it has not planned any examinations for Saturday, July 9, 2022,” the message continued. In order to provide Muslim believers enough time to observe the festival, it has granted a full examination-free week in the ongoing Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for School-based students, running from Friday, July 8, to Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

The Council has always made proper provisions for religious festivals when setting exam dates since it is aware of their significance.

Recall that the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates in 2022 started on June 27 and will end on August 12 of that same year.
