Guber election Ensure neutrality, don’t compromise – Kaduna PDP tells INEC.Danjuma Bello Sarki, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) collation agent in Kaduna State, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to maintain impartiality and refrain from bias.
Sarki urged the umpire to fix the errors found before the upcoming elections by noting that it has already heard the numerous concerns from the most recent presidential and national assembly elections.
In Kaduna on Wednesday, he made this statement while speaking to reporters while election materials were being distributed to the state’s 23 local government areas.
He said, “There were problems with the BVAS machines’ non-functionality, and these problems should have been resolved before the upcoming elections, but due to the materials’ tardy arrival, I think INEC has heeded our advice, which is why they started distributing them today in the hopes that by tomorrow, all the LGAs will have received their materials. We anticipate that the materials will reach the wards by Friday in time to be distributed at voting locations on Saturday.
“We urge INEC to maintain impartiality and objectivity and not allow themselves to be manipulated. We want to see more of the impartiality that INEC and the security personnel shown during the previous election.
To allow voters to exercise their right to vote and choose the leaders they choose, all the highlighted gray areas should be resolved before the election.
In addition, Sarki asked the security agencies to uphold international standards in the execution of their constitutional duties and refrain from allowing themselves to be used by politicians or political parties for their own ends at the expense of society.
