Your victory is temporal, evaporative – Dino Melaye assures Tinubu, makes allegations. Bola Tinubu’s win is just transitory and will soon be overturned, according to Senator Dino Melaye, a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council, PCC.
The former federal legislator said that the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, rigged the presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday in a video broadcast that was released on his verified Facebook profile.
Dino claims that polls in PDP strongholds where Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, received more votes, were invalidated.
The essence and spirit of our country, he declared, are calling out for justice and retribution.
“When Professor Mahmood Yakubu left office after his first term’s inconclusive elections, he cut off the very lifeblood of Nigeria. In his second time in office, he has advanced to overvoting.
“The idea of inconclusive elections disenfranchised the PDP and opposition parties in his first term. Mahmood has changed his approach and is no longer focused on voting.
90% of the state results provided were announced before voting. Strongholds of the PDP, who halted elections there due to overvoting. Almost two million votes were cast in excess of the allowed number.
“But they decreased it to 900 and something because they did not want the margin of canceled votes to be more than the margin of victory, but this is a falsehood and it will not hold up.
“I want to let Bola Tinubu know that your success is fleeting and ephemeral. I’ll say it again: Your success is fleeting and ephemeral. We’ll overturn that mandate that was taken.
Bola Tinubu, a member of the All Progressives Congress, which is now in power, was named the election’s victor by INEC on Wednesday.
