Oyo governorship election LP adopts PDP’s Makinde. For the March 11 general election, the Oyo State branch of the Labour Party, LP, has selected Governor Seyi Makinde as its candidate for governor.
Makinde is the candidate with character, knowledge, and capability, according to LP Chairman Sadiq Atayese.
Nonetheless, Atayese encouraged the residents of the state to support LP candidates in the state assembly elections while speaking during a news conference on Sunday.
No party can “win the future governor election solely,” he said, citing the presidential election as evidence.
According to Atayese, the LP and Makinde share ideas in the areas of security, infrastructure development, food security, education, and human capital development. This is why the parties chose to collaborate.
It is noteworthy that the current PDP administration, led by Gov. Makinde, has provided security and other departments with Primary Healthcare Centers in every ward, he said.
