Nigerian artist Mayorkun made a firm declaration via his X platform, expressing his decision to never perform again in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State. He conveyed this message, wishing luck to other artists set to perform in the city in the future.
This decision followed reports from fans suggesting that Mayorkun was allegedly robbed during his recent performance in Calabar. Several fans commented, speculating that the singer’s valuable necklace was stolen during the event.
Responding to this incident, fellow singer Iyanya expressed disappointment over the alleged robbery and urged whoever took Mayorkun’s belongings to return them.
He emphasized the importance of protecting and extending hospitality to artists performing in Calabar, offering personal compensation if the stolen item is returned to The Grand Hotel.
