Guber Polls Rivers PDP claims opposition planning to bomb INEC offices. In response to allegations that it is conspiring with INEC to rig Saturday’s governorship and house of assembly elections, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has issued a statement.
Ogbonna Nwuke, the Rivers PDP’s director of publicity and communications, referred to the accusation as unfounded in a statement that he provided to DAILY POST on Thursday.
The banter of half-wits who are engaged in arguments with their tools and even the air they breathe, he said.
Ahead of the polls, he also claimed that certain parties intended to attack INEC offices in the State.
“Several political groups, including the APC, Labour, and SDP, allegedly planned to blast INEC offices at the local level.
“These political parties are like farmers who neglected to take advantage of the early rains to plant their crops in accusing INEC and everyone else, including security personnel participating in the voting process, of plotting with the PDP to rig Saturday’s polls in the State.
“We ask Rivers residents to disregard them. We also implore the people of Rivers to cast a huge number of PDP votes for Siminalayi Fubara and all other candidates.
“Our history of good administration is something that cannot be disregarded. The social compact that Governor Nyesom Wike made with the people has been fulfilled, he claimed.
