Banky W break silence as he loses Eti-Osa Reps seat to Labour Party. Nigerian musician Bankole Wellington, alias Banky W, recently lost the election for the Lagos State Eti-Osa Federal Seat to the Labour Party candidate.

Attah Thaddeus of the Labour Party defeated Banky W in the election.

With 24,075 votes, Attah triumphed over Banky W (18,666) and Babajide Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (16,901) to win the election.

Banky W responded on his Instagram page on Monday, saying that if everything had gone as planned, he would have traveled to Abuja to get an apartment and an office space.

Banky W claimed during a sermon at his church that having trust in God does not guarantee your safety from harm.

“‘Faith after a fall’ is for you, for me, if you’ve ever experienced a loss, a disappointment, or a circumstance when things simply didn’t turn out as you had anticipated.

We were going to have a Thanksgiving service today. After the election is finished, we arrive and we are rejoicing, giving God thanks. I was also intending to deliver a little exhortation to show what the Lord had accomplished.

Then, we utilize that to strengthen your faith and worship God. As the service is over, I depart for Abuja to begin looking for an apartment and an office space.

“Your faith in God does not prevent you from hurting, but it helps you recover and it helps you deal,” he continued.
