Nigerian singer Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, widely known as Peruzzi, recently shared that he considers legendary musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, as his mentor.
Peruzzi highlighted 2Baba’s substantial influence on his musical talent, admitting to emulating his lyrics and musical style extensively.
In a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast on Pop Central, Peruzzi openly acknowledged, “2Baba is my mentor. I derive a lot of inspiration from him. If you’ve listened to ‘Amaka,’ you’d notice I took his verse and tweaked some elements in it. Even now, I continue to draw inspiration from him. I have to be honest about that.”
Additionally, during the show, Peruzzi emphasized his versatility as an artist, asserting that he possesses a broad range of musical abilities. He confidently stated, “I am an all-rounder in music. Most artists are limited in certain aspects, but I can do everything. That’s what sets me apart and makes me unique.”
