Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, securing its place as the highest-grossing music tour in history, according to Guinness World Records.
This monumental feat marks the first-ever music tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue. Commencing in March 2023 and scheduled to conclude in December 2024, the tour has encompassed a remarkable 151 shows across the globe. As reported by Pollstar, the ‘Eras’ tour has amassed an impressive $1.04 billion (£840 million) in earnings to date.
This achievement surpasses the previous record set by legendary musician Elton John, whose five-year farewell tour, culminating earlier this year, generated $939 million (£749 million) from 328 shows.
This accomplishment follows Taylor Swift’s recent Guinness World Record as the first musician to achieve a billionaire status solely through music earnings.
