Samuel L. Jackson Is The Most Profitable Actor In Hollywood. The analysis, undertaken by TicketSource, calculated the most profitable actor among the top 25 Hollywood stars across their lifetime box office receipts in the US.
Jackson is considered to be the most successful actor in Hollywood, earning a total of $5.7 billion from 63 films. Scarlett Johansson comes in second with 5.2 billion from 32 films, followed by Robert Downey Jr. with 5.4 billion from 43 films.
Tom Hanks, Bradley Cooper, Harrison Ford, Chris Evans, Tom Cruise, Chris Hemsworth, and Zoe Saldana round out the top ten. The complete list is available here.

Jackson criticized the Oscars last month, saying Sidney Poitier deserved “a whole section” for how they handled his passing.
Jackson commented in an interview with the Los Angeles Times regarding the ceremony’s In Memoriam tribute: “I’m still a little irritated that they just gave the greatest actor Hollywood ever produced, who passed away, what, 10 fucking seconds. No. Sidney Poitier should have received his own section.
“This man is the reason Will Packer is making this program. This man is the reason Will Smith received an Oscar. He deserves more than 10 fucking seconds of your time, especially considering what he means not only to us but to Hollywood in general. He is the cause for Denzel Washington, me, Danny Glover, and everyone else.
To commemorate the 28th anniversary of the movie’s debut, Jackson reunited with his Pulp Fiction co-stars Uma Thurman and John Travolta in March.
