Doris Simeon was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on July 22, 1980. She was born and raised in, Ojota in the city of Lagos. The talented actress hails from Okpella, Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.
Doris attended primary and secondary school in Ojota and later proceeded to PEFTI Film Institute in Ajao Estate Isolo, Lagos State where she graduated with a Diploma in Production Management. and became famous in 2001 with the Nollywood film Oloju Ede.
Personal Life
Doris was married to producer and director Daniel Ademinokan, whom she met on set. But as of May 2013, they divorced due to irreconcilable differences which she gave no details about. She had a son with her ex-husband, David Ademinokan who would be 14 this year.
Career
Doris’s dream job was to be a newscaster, but when a friend told her about an audition for a cameo role in a situational comedy sitcom by Wale Adenuga Production (WAP) called “Papa Ajasco” she went for the audition and she was given the role it was where she started her acting career.
A Yoruba and English actress, Doris started with a part in three episodes of the Papa Ajasco comedy series. She then had parts in Nollywood films Oloju Ede, Alakada, Ten Million Naira and Modupe Temi. She has also appeared in Eti Keta
In 2010, she starred as Da Grin’s girlfriend in Ghetto Dreamz. and co-produced with Omo Iya kan.
Doris was given her first role by late movie director cum actor Yomi Ogunmola, she rose to the top starring in over 100 films including Eti Keta, Oloju Ede, Alakada, Ten Million Naira, Abani Kedun, Iseju Marun, Omo Iya Kan, Ghetto Dreams, Silence, Gucci Girls, Alakada, Omo Pupa, Asiri and Modupe Temi and many more.
