Afenifere to Tinubu Prioritise security, economy, unemployment, others. The socio-political group Afenifere has encouraged Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, to put security, the economy, and unemployment first when he takes office on May 29.
Afenifere advised Tinubu to give serious attention to pressing issues that would help Nigerian society return to peace and tranquility.
The demand was made by Reuben Fasoranti, the organization’s head, in a statement issued by Oladiran Adesua, the administrative secretary.
“Nigeria has never faced this degree of insecurity before,” remarked Fasoranti.
When Tinubu becomes president, he should “concentrate on two crucial issues,” says Fasoranti. Security and the economy are among these crucial sectors.
“During the last several years, the security situation in the nation has gotten worse, making it impossible for Nigerians to move freely on our highways and even on our trains. They also feel uncomfortable in their homes and on their farms.
“Our economy is a problem that is as serious and, in my opinion, needs urgent attention. To stop the escalating young unrest in various sections of the nation, we must stop the country’s deteriorating unemployment rate right away.
