Portable submits self to police in Ogun. Habib Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, is a well-known musician who has reported to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The police had instructed him to report himself to the closest station after he was shown in a viral video attacking a young man by the name of DJ Chicken.
Portable “has reported to the command’s headquarters Eleweran on Wednesday 29th of June 2022,” according to Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer.
He claimed that the Zazu singer came in Eleweran at 5 p.m. with his father and manager, and that the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, then drove him to the Public Complaints Bureau office.
Portable submits self to police in Ogun. Oyeyemi claimed that Portable “was questioned about his role in the attack meted out to the youngster in the video” at the Public Complaints Bureau office.
But he said that Portable had been released to a trustworthy surety since the crime committed is one that can be covered by bail, and that the state’s current strike action has had an impact on the courts.
To help the command complete its inquiry on time, the assaulted victim has also been invited to attend and give his side of the story, according to Oyeyemi.
