Comedian Seyi Law apologises to Atiku, Peter Obi supporters

Comedian Seyi Law apologises to Atiku, Peter Obi supporters. Oluwaseyitan Aletile, better known by his stage as Seyi Law, a comedian, has apologized to opposition party members and supporters whom he may have upset while supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president.

This comes after the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate was proclaimed the victor of Saturday’s poll by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC.

The comedian said that Nigerians shouldn’t get resentful and hostile against one another in a post published on his Instagram page on Wednesday in which he expressed his enthusiasm over how enthusiastic people are about their favourite candidates.

“Dear Nigerian compatriots, I’m glad you feel thus strongly about your chosen choices. Politics should operate in that manner. But between us, there shouldn’t be any room for animosity or hate.

“It’s possible that you don’t share my perspective. It doesn’t imply that I’m correct and you’re mistaken. It just indicates that we are unique. I would have prayed and fought for their and my success if your candidates had won.

“I’m sorry if my support angered anyone. I vehemently condemn any acts of violence in Nigeria. I don’t feel mixed emotions about my candidate winning, but rather about your sincere outrage. I, however, wish for better life for Nigerians,” he remarked.
