Newcastle United is reportedly considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface. The Nigerian striker, who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Union St Gilloise in the Belgian Pro League for €12 million during the summer, has been making waves in the Bundesliga.
Boniface has impressed with his performances, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in just 10 games for Bayer Leverkusen.
According to reports, Newcastle United’s scouts recently observed Boniface playing for Nigeria in a friendly against Saudi Arabia. Although he didn’t score in that match, he showcased his physicality and caused problems for the Saudi Arabian defense.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is reportedly interested in adding a player with physical attributes to his forward line, and he sees Boniface as a top target who can complement the team alongside players like Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
