World Cup Chelsea’s Sterling not in form – John Terry names players who should start for England

The legendary John Terry of Chelsea has suggested three players for England manager Gareth Southgate to start with when his team faces Iran on Monday in the 2022 FIFA World Cup opener.

On Monday in the afternoon, England will play Iran in their first game in Qatar.

The Three Lions will compete against teams like Iran, Wales, and the USA in Group B of the event.

Terry, however, believes Sterling is out of form and wants players like Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, and Phil Foden to start in the attack line for Southgate’s team.

“Jack strikes me as the kind who will take the ball everywhere. I’ve done stuff for Jack. He constantly desires that, Terry told beIN Sports (as quoted by HITC).

“Kane, Foden, and Jack would likely start for me in my team. The group stage has begun. For Chelsea, Sterling is not at his best.

“I have previously discussed these significant competitions. Due to their desire for the ball, I believe Foden and Grealish will play a significant role in this contest. They want to keep defenders apart.
