Why Super Eagles don’t need Peseiro to deliver – Ex-NFF board member. Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board member Sani Fema asserted that the Super Eagles already have a quality bunch of players, thus they don’t need manager Jose Peseiro to perform.
Fema made this statement in response to the Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory over the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau in Monday’s AFCON qualifier at the Estadio 24 de Setembro Stadium.
He said that the Super Eagles’ display in Bissau demonstrated their ability to compete against and defeat any team in the world, including Brazil, but that they required the technical staff and the right coach to bring out the best in the players.
We have the players to compete against any team in the world, according to Fema, who told NAN that “we can play Brazil with the same players, but the issue is that we don’t have a decent coach, I’m sorry to say this; our technical staff isn’t good enough.”
“It is clear that the players performed admirably in Guinea Bissau, particularly in the first half when the home team was unable to threaten them.
“The squad is amazing, but as I mentioned, we are missing a strong technical crew.
“I don’t favor Peserio; I prefer our homegrown athletes.”
We have prospective coaches like Sunday Oliseh and Emmanuel Amuneke, he continued.
