Newcastle United Could Be Timo Werner’s Next Destination. Marcos Alonso, Azpilicueta, Ziyech, Pulisic, and Timo Werner are the five players from their current lineup that Chelsea wants to sell. In the current market, the latter appears to have interest from a number of clubs, although Newcastle is one possibility that is expanding.
Timo Werner may be headed to Newcastle after learning that Thomas Tuchel does not have any plans for him, according to “Bild.” The German player is apparently also interested in returning to RB Leipzig, though.
Newcastle United Could Be Timo Werner’s Next Destination. Chelsea has the striker under contract until June 2025. However, given that he makes nearly $15 million annually and that leaving the English club requires the German’s consent or a contract termination, this works to the player’s advantage.
The Blues’ plan is to try to recoup some of the more than $55 million they spent on Timo Werner two seasons ago. The Londoners have already seen the German’s performance decline, so they are aware of the challenges of this mission.
The attacker will face difficult competition from RB Leipzig and Newcastle as he seeks to advance in the Premier League. Werner’s finest records have been with the German team, despite the lower level of competition in the German league.
