EPL Ten Hag names Man United first choice goalkeeper. The newest addition to Manchester United in the January transfer window has been revealed by Erik ten Hag.
After arriving at Old Trafford on Thursday, Jack Butland became Manchester United’s first acquisition of the winter transfer window.
Following the termination of Martin Dubravka’s loan from Newcastle United, Ten Hag acquired the goalie as a replacement for David de Gea.
De Gea, who Ten Hag called a good performance, will continue to hold the top position at Old Trafford, according to Ten Hag.
Ten Hag responded, “Yes, so Martin [Dubravka] was recalled and now to set up we need three experienced goalkeepers,” when asked about United’s approach for Butland.
“I’m extremely delighted with David [de Gea], he’s our No. 1 and he plays really well, but there’s always the possibility of anything going wrong with David as well, so you have to be ready for that,” said de Gea.
