EPL Saha explains why Manchester United superstar, Sancho is struggling at Old Trafford. Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has provided an explanation for why he believes winger Jadon Sancho is having trouble at Old Trafford despite not being selected for Gareth Southgate’s England side to travel to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Saha thinks Sancho’s struggles are brought on by overanalyzing and fitness issues.
While playing for Borussia Dortmund, Sancho was one of the most talented wings in all of European football.
The international from England led Dortmund in scoring with 50 goals and 64 assists in all competitions.
Sancho signed for Man United for a significant sum of money last summer, but he has yet to live up to the hype, scoring just eight goals and dishing out four assists in 52 games across all competitions.
He is now overthinking, I believe. Saha said, “I felt that he wasn’t at the same level as others. I think he is a guy who may have had a fitness issue when he arrived, so it took him time to genuinely acclimate – curiously since he would come from England and he understands the intensity.
“Perhaps the reason the team wasn’t performing at the same level as the rest of the Premier League is due to the club. However, I believe that his game involves a lot of overthinking.
