EPL Ronaldo means a lot, helps me very much – Elanga reacts to criticisms. Anthony Elanga, a star for Manchester United, claimed that he ‘understands’ Cristiano Ronaldo’s criticism of the team’s young players.
Despite the criticism, Elanga stated that the 37-year-old Portugal international is still his idol.
All signs point to the Portuguese captain not going back to Old Trafford after criticizing the club’s owners, executives, and manager Erik ten Hag.
Ronaldo stated that the youthful players at Manchester United don’t appreciate or pay attention to him in a recent interview with esteemed journalist Piers Morgan.
He claimed that the young celebrities are from a different time period, act like 12-year-olds, and have a different mindset than it had when he was their age.
Elanga stated to the Swedish publication Aftonbladet: “Cristiano speaks generally about young players. Our generation is a new one. Although I am constantly fully present in what I am doing, I can understand what he is saying.
He means a lot to me, Elanga said about his friendship with Ronaldo. He has been a huge assistance to me both on and off the field.
“He is an inspiration to all the young players at United, not just to myself,” I said. At the gym, sometimes it’s just me and him.
When asked if his feelings toward Ronaldo had evolved since his explosive interview, Elanga said, “No, not much. He hasn’t changed while I’m with him, so. To me, he is still Cristiano Ronaldo. He is helpful.
