At this yearly celebration of honesty, perseverance, and dedication to the country and humanity, governors, ministers, heads of organizations and parastatals, captains of industries, and the crème de la crème of Nigeria are anticipated.

The Awards ceremony promises to be an evening filled with entertainment, glamor, glamour, laughing, fantastic music, and of course, a celebration of our rich cultural diversity.
Dr. Ajoritsedere Awosika, a successful administrator with more than 30 years of experience in public sector governance, will preside over the Vanguard Personality of the Year 2022 Award.
Dr. Awosika will preside over the ceremony, which will take place at the Eko Hotels & Suites Convention Centre tomorrow and honor a number of notable Nigerians, elder statesmen, honorable governors, and trailblazers in several domains of human endeavor.
Aliko Dangote, the chairman of the Dangote Group, will receive the Vanguard Personality of the Year 2022 award. Additionally honored for turning around the fortunes of their respective states will be Governors Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Babagana Zulum (Borno).
Dr. Awosika, a well-known pharmacist, has held different permanent secretary positions in the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Power, and Science and Technology. She is a Fellow of both the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacy and the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.
Dr. Awosika joined the Access Bank Plc. board in April 2013 and held positions as vice-chairman of the board audit committee and chairman of the board credit committee before being named board chairman. She holds a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Awosika serves on the boards of Med-In Pharmaceuticals Limited, International Foundation Against Infectious Diseases, Council of University of Warri, Capital Express Assurance Ltd., Josephine Consulting Ltd., and African Initiative for Governance.
Award-winning singer DBanj and the well-known live band Laolu Gbenjo are among the performers for the evening.
