Nollywood stars takes CGI campaign to major parts of Lagos . Popular Nollywood actors have carried their campaign messages for the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Obafemi Hamzat at the next election, coming on February 25 and March 15 of 2023, respectively, to various regions of Lagos under the auspices of the Connecting Grassroots Initiative (CGI).
The over 100 creatives have started a door-to-door campaign approach that will support the party’s grassroots operations and increase support for the APC candidates.
Oshodi, Mushin, Ikeja, Shomolu, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Bariga, Apapa, Maryland, Agege, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, and Epe local government areas have all been visited by CGI members.
Speaking on the need to mobilize the electorate for the election, CGI spokeswoman and Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola said that Lagosians needed to be physically mobilized to understand that their PVC is their ticket to elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and re-elect Babajide Sanwolu.
It is important to remember that before the general election, CGI members would visit all local governments and LCDAs in Lagos.
