Ellie Simmonds Is The Sixth Celebrity To Leave ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ This Season

Ellie Simmonds Is The Sixth Celebrity To Leave ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ This Season. The former Paralympic swimmer, 27, who is the first person with dwarfism to compete on the BBC One show, claimed her participation on the show was “life changing” because it gave her more confidence.

When interviewer Tess Daly questioned Ellie about her experience, the 24-year-old professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin added: “I’ve literally had the best of my life. It’s been the most amazing experience, one that actually changed my life.

“I want to sincerely thank Nikita. He altered my life and my confidence, therefore I’m going to miss him.

“And you guys, the professionals. Everyone who has participated in this “Strictly” competition.

I’ve literally adored waking up every single day and dancing; I’m going to dance forever, the costume designers, I’ve said behind closed doors.

It’s amazing; this show has changed my life. My life was altered by Nikita.

“These have been the most wonderful days. We’ve had days when we didn’t only dance but instead talked nonstop for hours. And the confidence you’ve given me—I may come out as cocky, but you know how anxious I am—we’ve essentially symbolized everything.

Every every night, we went out and danced until we dropped. I liked it so much.

“First of all, have me speak first next time because I’m weeping,” Nikita remarked of Ellie.

I was hoping Ellie would spend a little more time on this TV program because I know how much it matters to her. I’m a little disappointed.

“I’m very glad that (Ellie) has been on this trip with me; she has taught me so much – so much empathy, just so much… Over the past seven weeks, I’ve learned a lot.

“I really wanted to go to Blackpool with you; I think we should go on the rides there.

“I just want to let you know that everyone in this room loves you, Els. I adore you.

That is only to express what a great human being you are. You take the time to talk to each individual in this room, you genuinely care about everyone, and I am so happy I got to dance with you because you are such a lovely person.

Ellie was eliminated after competing in the dance off against singer Molly Rainford, 21, and her professional partner Carlos Gu, 28.

While Molly and Carlos Gu danced the foxtrot to “You Make Me Happy” by My Sun and My Stars, Ellie and Nikita performed the Charleston to “Too Darn Hot” from “Kiss Me Kate.”

Molly and Carlos were chosen to be saved by Judge Craig Revel Horwood, who said: “Well, the couple I’d want to rescue are a pair who I think danced better than they did on Saturday night, and that couple is Molly and Carlos.”

The couple was also chosen by Motsi Mabuse, who added: “First of all, I thought the dance off was amazing. Both couples performed their dances quite well. To save Molly and Carlos is my decision.

Regarding his selection of Molly and Carlos, her colleague judge Anton Du Beke stated, “Well, I believe both couples can take credit from having an absolutely beautiful dance off. However, Molly and Chris are the couple I’d like to save for a stronger performance than Saturday night.

It was one of the finest dance offs I’ve ever seen, but again, the performance was a little bit stronger in this dance off, and I would have awarded it to Molly and Carlos, said head judge Shirley Ballas, who also supported Molly and Carlos.

The professional dancers did a routine with Bollywood influences to kick off Sunday’s results program, while Luke Evans sang his single “Bridge Over Troubled Water” from his “A Song For You” album.

The last nine couples will next hit the dance floor on Saturday, November 12 at 6:55 p.m. The results show will air on BBC One on Sunday, November 13 at 7:20 p.m.
