Asake’s MMWTV becomes highest charting debut Nigerian album in Billboard history. Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a well-known Nigerian afrobeat artist. In 2022, ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album on Billboard.

This was confirmed on Thursday in a Twitter post using music chart data.

Mr. Money With The Vibe by @asakemusik “became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album of all time on the Billboard” in 2022.

The 12-track album debuted at number 66 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting start for a Nigerian album, and at number two on the Billboard World Album Chart.

The number-one album in Nigeria in a matter of hours after its release on the 8th of September 2022 was the chart-topping album.

The album’s first week of availability had it in Apple Music’s top 1–10 tracks. It was released in the later half of 2022.
